The historical and biographical reference book provides a brief history of the formation and development of cybernetics and computer science and history of the Department of Informatics of NAS of Ukraine. Biographical information about the current members and correspondent members, who are working and have worked in the Department from the time of its creation until today, is given. The history and main directions of work of scientific institutions, scientific periodicals, state and academic awards and prizes of scientists of the Department, are described.
