The book is devoted to the 90^th anniversary of the L.V. Pisarzhevsky Institute of Physical Chemistry of NAS of Ukraine — the oldest in Ukraine academic institution of chemical profile and the first in USSR specialized institute in physical chemistry in the USSR and acquaints with the history of the Institute, formation, development and current state of research in the main scientific directions: the theory of chemical structure; kinetics and reactivity; catalysis; adsorption and adsorbents; high energy chemistry; physico-inorganic chemistry. The activities of the Institute for the training of scientific personnel, international relations, participation of employees in the liquidation of the consequences of the accident at the ChNPP, publishing activities and the development of the research and production complex of the Institute are covered.
