The article examines the evaluation criteria of the level of scientific journals, which want to enter international scientometric databases in order to increase the quality of Ukrainian scientific journals and to expand their presence in the global scientific and information space, which is a part of the global citation index. The requirements of international databases to periodicals are analyzed. Some general guidelines for preparation of the journals for entering the international scientometric databases are formulated. The correlation between information content of CrossRef Agency and DOIs is described. Effective mechanism for cross-referencing, which promotes the growth of the number of citations of scientific publications, is specified.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
