Some provisions of the updated order of formation of the List of Scientific Professional Publications of Ukraine are considered: obligatory entry of Ukrainian scientific journals into scientometric databases Web of Science and Scopus and the provision of each published material with a Digital Online Identifier (DOI). The impracticability of ranking domestic scientists, scientific institutions and journals on the basis of indicators of foreign scientometric databases is discussed. The introduction of the DOI system is an important incentive for journals to create their own web resources at modern world level. The combination of the system of digital identifiers with an open access to web resources is a real opportunity to form a common information field and to not allow international corporations publishers to monopolize scientific knowledge.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
