The sixteenth annual annotated catalog of book publications of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine has traditionally been formed on the basis of annual reports of scientific institutions of the NAS of Ukraine and control copies of publications submitted to the Scientific\u00ad Publishing Council of the NAS of Ukraine academic institutions. The catalog includes bibliographic descriptions of books published during 2020 \u2014 scientific monographs, non\u00adperiodical collections of scientific works, vocabulary, reference, encyclopaedic, popular science, educational publications.<\/p>\n

The catalog contains bibliographic descriptions of 861 book editions, accompanied by abstracts in their original language. An abstract in state language is also provided for publications in English.<\/p>\n

Descriptions are grouped into 29 thematic sections. The largest sections of the catalog are \u00abHistory\u00bb (120 titles), \u00abEconomics\u00bb (95) and \u00abBiology\u00bb (57). The remaining sections contain from four (\u00abGiography\u00bb) to 47 (\u00abPhysics\u00bb) descriptions.<\/p>\n

At the end of the catalog there are auxiliary indexes: the first one is of the institutions of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, whose publications are represented in the catalog, with the indication of the serial numbers of these book publications; the second one is of institutions that do not belong to the structure of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, but which are involved in the preparation and publication of printed works in conjunction with the academic institutions.<\/p>\n

The electronic version of the annotated catalog for 2020, as well as the previous catalogs for 2004\u20132019, is presented at the website of the Scientific\u00adPublishing Council of the NAS of Ukraine at:<\/p>\n

The same portal is currently filling in the annotated catalog of book publications of the NAS of Ukraine for 2021 on the basis of the submission of mandatory control copies of publications by the institutions to the Scientific\u00adPublishing Council of the NAS of Ukraine.<\/p>\n

The work was carried out by the group of scientific and methodological support of the publishing activity of the NAS of Ukraine within the framework of scientific research of the Publishing House \u00abAkademperiodyka\u00bb of the NAS of Ukraine.<\/p>\n
