Slovo i Chas<\/em>\u00a0(Word and Time<\/em>) is\u00a0an open-access journal<\/strong>\u00a0of academic literary criticism that publishes articles and essays covering a wide range of issues related to different fields of literary studies, namely:\u00a0history of the Ukrainian literature, modern literary theory,\u00a0comparative studies,\u00a0history of foreign literatures.<\/strong><\/p>\n

We aim to promote the development of Ukrainian literary criticism and its integration into the European scholarly society.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The task of the journal is to maintain high standards of academic literary criticism, to secure conditions for free communication and exchange of research results, to generate and promote studies in the current areas of philology.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

The journal has over 40 general headings used for systematizing materials from various research spheres. In particular, these are \u201cTheoretical Issues\u201d, \u201c20th century\u201d, \u201cAd fontes!\u201d, \u201cPresent times\u201d, \u201cShevchenko Studies\u201d, \u201cComparative Studies\u201d, \u201cForeign Literature\u201d, \u201cPostcolonial Studies\u201d, \u201cGender Studies\u201d, \u201cContext\u201d, \u201cD\u00e9but\u201d, \u201cReviews\u201d etc. In addition to research contributions on history of literature, it includes the topical headings archival (\u201cScripta manent\u201d) and relevant current events (\u201cOur Presentations\u201d, \u201cOur Chronicle\u201d, \u201cIn Institute of Literature\u201d). The other ones may concern some especially debatable or thorny issues and offer a scholar\u2019s special view (\u201cDiscussion\u201d, \u201cView\u201d, \u201cLetter to the Editors\u201d).<\/p>\n

The publication is free of charge.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The publisher of the journal\u00a0Slovo i Chas<\/em>\u00a0is the\u00a0Publishing House \u201cAkademperiodyka\u201d<\/a>\u00a0of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine. The publisher\u2019s role is assigned by the instruction of the Presidium of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine dated 24.03.2022 No. 158 \u201cOn determining the Publishing House \u2018Akademperiodyka\u2019 of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine as the publisher of scientific and scholarly journals, the preparation and publication of which is carried out within the framework of the Program of Support for Journals of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine\u201d.<\/p>\n
