The guidebook provides an overview of the history of the Northwest Black Sea region during antiquity and the medieval
\nperiods, highlighting the natural and social changes that occurred in the area. It describes and illustrates the most
\nrenowned and significant sites of ancient and medieval cultural heritage, including underwater ones. The book also
\npresents popular historical and archaeological tourism routes along the coast, spanning from the lower Danube
\nto the lower Dnipro basin. The ancient cultural heritage and numerous remarkable archaeological artifacts discovered
\nin the coastal areas and aquatic geo-ecosystems of the Northern Black Sea region should, in line with the objectives
\nof the European Green Deal, serve as key resources for the development of coastal tourism in Ukraine \u2014 one of the
\ncritical sectors of its current and future resource-efficient, competitive, and sustainable Blue Economy.<\/p>\n

For recreational and tourism managers, students and schoolchildren, all residents and guests of our country,
\nas well as Ukrainian and international travelers who are interested in the nature and ancient cultural heritage,
\nincluding underwater, of the Black Sea coast \u2014 those who sincerely appreciate it but wish to learn more \u2014 believe
\nthat the expanses of the Ukrainian Black Sea coast, situated in the unique land-sea contact zone, have been, are and
\nwill continue to be among the most popular and sought-after recreational regions and coastal tourism destinations.<\/p>\n
