The book presents previously unknown facts and archival documents concerning the fate of antiquities originating from the “Second mummy cache” (Bāb el-Gusūs) discovered in 1891 in the Deir el-Bakhri area. In 1893, the Egyptian government donated some of the finds to 17 foreign countries, including the Russian Empire, which received Lot 6. The circumstances related to the stay of the antiquities of Lot 6 in Odesa in 1894-1895, their further fate and the current place of storage are considered.

The book is intended for specialists in Oriental studies, museum staff and museologists, students of humanities and anyone interested in the history and culture of ancient Egypt.

You can ordering book in SA “UKRINFORMNAUKA”

References:

Anokhina, E., Dyuzheva, O. & Tomashevich, O.
