The main problems of ensuring the operation safety of structures strength, during their tests, operation and calculation, are outlined. Great attention is given to the theory, methods and means of diagnosis and evaluation of materials condition and residual life. The questions of prognosis and decision-making theory for structures conditions are presented. Modern methods of calculation and measurement of
\ntemperature fields, stresses and strains are highlighted, methods of eliminating the adverse consequences of welding stresses and strains are shown, the basics of classical and quantum fracture mechanics are considered.
\nThe practical issues of technical diagnostics solutions are considered.<\/p>\n
