This monograph examines the literary and historiosophical legacy of Volodymyr Vynnychenko during his period of emigration, with its incisive and topical ideas, forms unusual for Ukrainian literature, a new approach to issues of morality and ethics, and, most importantly, the process of forming a new artistic mindset that fully corresponded to the quests of European culture in the first half of the 20th century. The analysis is based on the key tenets of cross-cultural theory, developed at the intersection of disciplines such as anthropology, sociology, psychology, and political science, which have become increasingly relevant to literary studies in recent years.
