The Publishing House “Akademperiodyka” as the publisher of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine and the basic organization of the Scientific Publishing Council of NAS of Ukraine works and develops in three main directions. This is pre- polygraphic preparation of publications – from manuscript to layout original, full cycle of polygraphic preparation – from layout original to circulation, consultative and methodological work on ordering of publishing activities of scientific institutions.

For performing the task of the management of NAS of Ukraine the Publishing House must become a scientific and methodological center, publisher and printing base for the entire Academy.

Such diversity of types and areas of activities can be implemented only through extensive and flexible structure and is supported by an organic combination of functions of departments within “Akademperiodyka”.

The historical foundation of the Publishing House is the printing station. Today we have significantly upgraded and expanded the polygraphic technology park, considerably modernized the production.

Somewhat later the pre-printing has started to actively develop. The presence of this link distinguishes a polygraphic company from a publishing organization. Our experts can perform the full range of pre-polygraphic services – from editing to production of suitable for printing works or posting on the Internet of electronic layout originals of any publication. All work stages we go through in close collaboration with the authors.

We started scientific research, methodological and advisory activities once the group of scientific and methodological support of the publishing activities of NAS of Ukraine was organized as part of PH “Akademperiodyka”. Today we carry out applied research on the publishing history of the Academy and most modern of its modern directions – the introduction of new technologies at different stages of the publishing and printing process, provide constant consultations for scientific and educational institutions.

All three departments work closely on each publication, employees follow the major global trends and innovations, changes in current legislation etc.
