A documentary-autobiographical essay on scientific, educational and public activity of a prominent scientist and public figure, Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Director of the Main Astronomical Observatory of the NAS of Ukraine, Academician of the NAS of Ukraine Yaroslav Stepanovych Yatskiv during 2011-2015.

The events of the author’s life are closely intertwined with the events in the scientific life of the world and Ukraine. The book contains a large amount of factual material about these events, as well as their author’s assessments.
