Fundamental problems of creating new substances and materials for chemical production

The main results of scientific research and technical developments carried out by institutes of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine within the framework of the targeted comprehensive research program of the NAS of Ukraine, “Fundamental problems of creating new substances and materials for chemical production” (2012—2016), are summarized. Based on the fundamental results obtained in the five main areas of the Program, some fundamentally new chemical substances and materials have been developed, utilizing new, environmentally friendly, energy- and resource-saving technologies for various industries and the social sphere. The development of such low-tonnage science-intensive substances and materials will contribute to the structural restructuring of Ukraine’s chemical complex to produce competitive chemical products, organize domestic production, and increase export potential.
